Trevor Copenhaver is a Montana native and began painting at the age of five under the guidance and influence of his father, Terry Copenhaver, also an accomplished painter.

Studying at Denver’s Colorado Institute of Art, Trevor graduated Portfolio par Excellence in 1988 and moved to San Diego, CA shortly thereafter.  In 1990, he opened his own studio to begin his freelance career.  With proficiency in many mediums, Trevor prefers to work on canvas in either oil or acrylic.

Trevor’s artwork has twice been published in the Los Angeles Society of Illustrator’s Annual, a national juried show.  He has worked commercially with numerous San Diego-based clients including Scripps Foundation, the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center and the San Diego Union Tribune.

Trevor currently enjoys a growing number of commissioned projects while continuing to build a body of his own personal work.
